This independence day, Design met impact. Fearless hues of saffron represent the nation’s strength & grace. an evocative installation, a field of larger-than-life marigolds, standing tall and proud. Meticulously handcrafted from over 200 kilograms of scrap fabric, each marigold is a bold, blooming testament to India’s resilience, unity and the power of standing tall and flying high. This initiative was designed to honour India’s freedom and create it, by providing livelihood, promoting sustainability, and supporting women at the grassroots.
What once lay discarded has been reborn in brilliant hues, woven together by the skilled hands of 25 women artisans who have been trained in the craft of up-cycling waste fabric.
